"Earlier in 2002 we (Ween) were hired by the largest advertising firm in the country to write music for a Pizza Hut commercial. Pizza Hut had hired them to come up with a whole new image to promote their new Pizza, "The Insider" which had all the cheese inside the crust. In keeping in line with their new cutting edge image, the agency hired Ween to do the music, and we delivered in a big way. Unfortunately, they didn't like a single piece of the 6 tunes we submitted and they had us rewriting the song every day for a couple of weeks before they hired someone else. I caught some of the Golden Globe Awards last Sunday. After seeing Lara Flynn Boyle dress I've came to the conclusion that she is either an attention whore or really really painfully stupid. It inspired me to write an open letter to Lara.

Anorexia is making your boobs very small. May I suggest you start eating Arby's. I've found their BLT really stacks up, if you know what I mean, LOL, and don't forget those Crazy Curly Fries!

My eye was feeling much better tonight so I got off my ass and finished up my short list of things that sucked in 2002.

Thanks go out to the boy in the Ne0nebubble and my one armed friend Brent for helping me out with a top referers script. All you link whores out there start sending me hits and you'll get them back.

I heard about The Surreal Life on the Big Dark Cloud Forums yesterday and I knew I had to check it out. I was going to write about it but I'm lazy and Outbreed
all ready took care of it.

Music 2002

Pitchfork released its top 50 albums for 2002 a while back and I've been meaning to mention it. It's a pretty good list, I would have made Wilco, And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, and Flaming Lips one, two and three but they all made the top ten so that's close enough.

I give Pitchfork big props for the GZA's Legend of the Liquid Sword and El-P's Fantastic Damage making the list. I didn't think either one of these albums got the publicity it deserved and both were rather awesome.

There are two things that bother me about the list. Sonic Youth's Murray Street is listed number nine. I love Sonic Youth but this album wasn't that great. They've done a lot better in the past, and there is no way it's one of the top ten albums of the year. The other thing that bothered me was the fact that Jurassic 5's Power In Numbers didn't make the list but some sub pair big name "Hip Hop" albums did. Eminem's The Eminem Show checked in at 38 and Missy Elliott's Under Construction at 28, both good albums but Jurassic 5 does it much better, ask any rap hipster.

I'm still working on few year in review posts, they should be up monday or early next week, so just chill.
